The Bride’s hairdo was inspired by a headdress on an ancient bust of the Egyptian princess Nefertiti and became a feminist icon. The Bride was made by two men for the purpose of being the creature’s companion, but rather than accept her station, she chooses to reject the role she was made for and decides her own fate. The Bride symbolizes free thought, spurring her own destruction through independence from man.This iconic monster is screen printed by hand in shimmery amethyst purple ink.
